They're putting up Christmas decorations on the Tribune Tower right now

It's November 7th. Christmas is 47 days away. That's like decorating for Halloween in the middle of September.

Next year I'm doing my decorating in January just to get the jump on everybody.

I did see Halloween decoration at the beginning of September.

And some local radio station is already playing continuous Christmas music.

1. The Chopping Block was putting up "holiday decorations" the week before Halloween. I wanted to shoot myself.

2. I heard "Jingle Bells" while sitting in a coffeeshop last night. I wanted to shoot myself.

Especially when you're a devout Shintoist like me, you hate Christmas, because it ends the life of so many tree spirits.

XM is also playing Christmas music already, which disappoints me because I usually really like them. I am _such a fan_ of Christmas music, but those in the know don't start until the day after Thanksgiving. C'mon, people! We're not going to spend more money just because you start driving us crazy with "Rudolph..." and "Frosty...". It shouldn't be "beginning to look a lot like Christmas" just yet, but apparently many merchants didn't get that memo.

I have seen both decorations and heard an xmas jingle on the radio. I wholeheartedly disapprove.

Our grocery store is already sporting a giant inflatable snowglobe. It practically blinds me to look at it.
