Ideas For Christmas Presents For the Idea Of Progress

Now that Halloween has come and gone, I know what's on your mind: What do I buy the Idea of Progress for Christmas? I will be presenting a few ideas over the next couple of months to give you a chance to go shopping.

On the left, we have what I'd like to refer to as Karate Waldo. You shouldn't have to sacrifice comfort and style while hiding or kicking ass.

On the right we apparently have the man on the left's ugly wife. Because he's wearing a dress. It must be a chick.

I'd prefer the Karate Waldo ensemble, but really, I accept most presents.

Wow. I don't even know where to begin. The shellacked hair styles? The insane red-yellow-black color scheme? The fact that they're described as "Colorful stretch terry coordinates" as opposed to a horrifying terry exoskeleton? Yeesh.

I only give the gift of knowing me.

I like to think that it's not an ugly chick. Instead, it's a really short guy wearing a shirt that's far too long for him.

Either way, I don't want either of those as gifts for my birthday-which is in 22 shopping days.

Their cheeseball expressions are priceless.

I think the one on the right might be a young Steve Carell.

I prefer a more spectral array of stripes in my homosexual sleeping attire but you know... i love stereotypes.

Good choice! The Karate ensemble is much more practical than the extra long polo shirt anyhow because you can wear the pieces as separates. You will have yourself a nice little shortie robe to wear when you answer the door for the pizza delivery person and canvassing politicians. Too late for Trick or Treat. Next year I guess.

I thought the person on the right was Scott Bakula and the guy on the left was Dirk Benedict.

I love the raised seam on the yellow pants...they're timeless.

I'm only going to say this once and I need never be reminded of it again. I like terry cloth. I think it's a fallback to my toddlerhood in the '70s where I dressed exclusively in terry cloth and crimplene. At least I was a little kid and not an adult who wore that stuff out of CHOICE!

Do you have the knees for the outfit on the right?

D! IS THAT A PONCHO IN THE CORNER? Seriously? A stretch terry poncho? Is that just to be easy on/easy off? Pee without pulling down your pants? WTF?

I'll start saving my pennies to buy you some of those ultra stylish hipster outfits - one for each day of the week. How does that sounds huh?? ;o)
